Having a weekend away without Tom, we'd managed to get Holme Fell ticked off on the Friday night and planned to do Coniston Old Man but low cloud made us change our minds. Didn't want to climb one of the biggies and not see anything. So to plan B and Hardknott. Not a bad fell considering the wind!

Very breezy ascent but some fine views, looking over to the Duddon valley

Loooking over the Hardknott Pass to Harter Fell, we were considering climbing this once Hardknott was done (changed our minds!)

Except that it was a false summit! This is the actual top and so we need to keep trudging!
